Xbox
- Press the circular Xbox button in the middle of the console to open the guide, then select "System" on the next screen.
- Select "Settings," then "Account," then finally "Family."
- Choose the child's account you want to set restrictions on.
- Select "Privacy & online safety", then "Xbox Live privacy", "View details and customize", and finally, "Buy & download".
- Select "On" from the dropdown menu to activate this feature and set a limit for the selected account of your child.
- Log in to your Microsoft account.
- Select "Family" from above.
- Under your child's profile, select "Screen time".
- Scroll to "Xbox One".
- Set time limits for each day of the week.
- Press the circular Xbox button in the middle of the console to open the guide, then select "System". On the next screen, sel ect "Settings," then "Account," then finally "Family."
- Choose the child's account you want to set restrictions on.
- Select "Privacy & online safety", then "Xbox Live privacy", "View details and customize", and finally, "Buy & download".
- Select "You can play with people outside of Xbox Live" and select "Block".
- Press the circular Xbox button in the middle of the console to open the guide, then select "System".
- Select "Settings," then "Account," then finally "Family."
- Select one family member to customize their individual settings.
- Adjust the controls for what your children can see by assigning Content Restrictions.

For example, if you set your child's content restrictions to "11", they will be able to play games that have been rated Everyone 10+ but not those for teenagers and adults.
Content restrictions make it easier for parents to choose one setting and control games, movies, TV, and music to make them suitable for their children.
